A club working party is being developed to support getting the grounds ready for the season plus ongoing maintenance. Predominately on a Monday and Wednesday from 8 am usually to lunch.

Understandably, we want to keep everyone safe, as tools and power tools are likely to be in play on these days, so please no lone working with power tools.

General weeding and tidying can be done anytime and greatly appreciated.

There is a "what's app" being formed, if you wish to join let one of the committee know.

Wednesday 18th Feb to tackle the driveway growth (please bring gloves and pruning implements) and you will also see the start of the trenching for the irrigation.

PRE SEASON .

1,Clean out gutters to both greens .

2,Refix boards to the edge of the Derby Green .

3,Stone to potholes at the top of our ramp .

4,Cut down tree at the top left side of our ramp .

5,Cut brambles back to both sides of the ramp also to the hedge far side of Derby Green .

6,Refix any loose boards to the edge of the tarmac on the greens with stakes .

7, Clean underside of Canopy to the club house .

8, Clean out Shelters .

9, Remove Boxus SBC hedging and soil and block and timber framework.

PAINTING

1,Top edge of green boards ( White )

2, White-hand rails

3, Toilet windows ( White ).

4,Main entrance doors ( White )

5, Grey frames to seating .

6,Re - Paint visitors shelters .

JOBS THROUGH THE SEASON .

1 , Gutters to the greens to be cleaned out monthly at least .

2,General site to be tidied and weeded continuously.

3,Visitors shelters to be cleaned out regularly.

4,Empty bins weekly to the above .

5 , As the season progresses, regular watering of plants .

6, Cleaning of the clubhouse windows .

7, Hedge cutting as and when required .

We normally work Monday and Wednesday mornings.

We are starting the dig next Wednesday for the sprinkler base and the service trench with a mini digger , should anybody want to come down then I can show you around and answer any queries you may have .
